Have an injection molded product with a gate you need removed? We offer many techniques to remove unwanted sections of your plastic products, all of which will achieve a flush and natural looking finish.

For gates attached with only a minimal amount of plastic sometimes it is best to simply tear or force the gate off, no cutting involved. In this case we would suggest a solid nested apparatus to achieve a consistent result. As with any of our solutions, we can offer this process on a machine of its own, or as one of many stages amidst a larger process.

For gates attached with a more substantial amount of plastic, we offer many different solutions. Depending on the specific results you require for your gate’s removal we will choose the most economical and practical option. In the past we have often cut gates using custom machined blade systems.  We have also used heated blade systems for the especially difficult situations.
